Privacy Policy

Effective August 9, 2026

1. Who We Are

SideGig Marketplace LLC ("SideGig," "we," "us," or "our") operates the SideGig website. The current public site is primarily a marketing, product demonstration, waitlist, and pre-launch experience. The full SideGig marketplace is not yet generally available to public users.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to SideGig's current public website, waitlist, Demo Login entry, and related public interactions. It does not describe future marketplace capabilities as though they are already operating for public users. Third-party websites and services linked from our site have their own privacy practices.

3. Information You Provide

When you join the waitlist, you provide:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • ZIP code;
  • whether you are interested in hiring, working, or both; and
  • the trade or service category that interests you.

We also receive information you choose to send through our public contact email addresses or other public contact channels.

4. Information Collected Automatically and Functional Technology

SideGig stores a theme preference locally in your browser so the site can remember your display choice. Our hosting and technical infrastructure may process ordinary operational information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site, such as network address, request headers, device or browser details, request timing, and server logs.

If you intentionally use Demo Login, SideGig uses functional cookies and session state to maintain that Demo experience. The application may also create limited in-memory or browser-console diagnostic and session traces used to operate or troubleshoot features.

The current public implementation does not use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising trackers, analytics pixels, session replay, fingerprinting, or precise geolocation.

5. How We Use Information

We use information described in this policy to:

  • manage the waitlist and maintain related records;
  • communicate about launch, early access, availability, and expansion;
  • understand interest in SideGig user types, trades, and services;
  • use ZIP code information to understand geographic interest and plan availability or expansion;
  • respond to questions, requests, and other inquiries;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
  • detect or prevent misuse; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

SideGig does not use the waitlist to collect precise location.

6. Marketing Communications

Joining the waitlist is a request to receive SideGig communications about launch, availability, early access, and expansion into your area. A separate, optional choice may be offered for broader SideGig news, product updates, promotions, and other marketing emails. If you opt in, commercial marketing emails will include an appropriate way to opt out. You may also contact us about your marketing preferences at any time.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to vendors and service providers that host or support our website, database, security, and other technical infrastructure; when needed to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect SideGig, our visitors, or others; or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

SideGig does not currently use waitlist information for third-party targeted advertising.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The public site uses local browser storage for a functional theme preference. Demo Login uses functional cookies and session state when a visitor chooses to enter the Demo experience. SideGig does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on the public site. Because current technology is functional rather than advertising or analytics tracking, SideGig does not currently present a cookie consent banner.

9. Data Retention

SideGig retains waitlist information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the waitlist, communicate about launch and availability, maintain appropriate records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention may vary based on the nature of the information and the reason we hold it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The public website and waitlist are not directed to children under 13, and SideGig does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the waitlist. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.

12. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact SideGig to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, to update marketing preferences, or to raise a privacy question. Email trust@joinsidegig.com. We will respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law and may need to verify your request.

13. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to social networks or other third-party websites. Following those links takes you to a service that SideGig does not control. Review the third party's terms and privacy policy before providing information to it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the public site and our practices change. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.
